Everyone is jealous of Cristiano Ronaldo except this guy — Man Utd legend Wayne Rooney opens up

Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo were teammates at Manchester United for five seasons before the Portugal captain transferred to Real Madrid in the summer of 2009.

The two players shared a relationship during their time together but in the decade after, that relationship has become strained.

In 2022, Rooney appeared to call out Ronaldo's inconsistent performances after the 38-year-old rejoined Manchester United from Juventus. 

The Al Nassr man did not take too kindly to Rooney's comments, calling him jealous.

Rooney replied: “I saw his comment and I’d probably say that there’s probably not a football player on the planet who isn’t jealous of Cristiano.

 “The career he’s had, the trophies he’s won, the money he’s earned, his six-pack, his body.

 “I think every player except Lionel Messi, is jealous of Cristiano Ronaldo.”
