England manager Gareth Southgate is set to make one important change to his starting line-up against Slovenia on Tuesday.
The Three Lions will qualify as Group C winners if they defeat Slovenia, and Southgate has been urged to make changes following there first two games.
Southgate to bench Trent against Slovenia
According to the Athletic, Liverpool midfielder Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to be dropped from the England team to face Slovenia, with Conor Gallagher replacing him.
Alexander-Arnold started alongside Declan Rice against Denmark, and his performance drew much scrutiny, and this decision will come as no surprise to anyone.
When asked about England's disjointed midfield after the draw against Denmark, Southgate attributed it to the absence of Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
"We know it is an experiment and we don't have a natural replacement for Kalvin Phillips, but we're trying some different things and at the moment we're not flowing as we'd like, that's for sure."
