Pep Guardiola has received a significant boost with star striker Erling Haaland passed fit for Sunday's clash against Bournemouth.
Concerns arose after Haaland sustained a knock during the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa last weekend, where he completed the full match.
The Norwegian was subsequently absent from the squad for City's 3-1 midweek Carabao Cup victory over Swansea City, but he has since returned to training.
In addition to Haaland's availability, Guardiola provided a positive update on midfielder Rodri, who could make his return against the high-flying Cherries. The Spanish international has been sidelined for the last four matches with a hamstring injury.
"Yes, [Haaland is fit]," Guardiola confirmed in his pre-match press conference on Friday.
Regarding Rodri's potential involvement, the City boss was cautiously optimistic. "I think he will be ready to help," he stated. "I don't know if he will be able to play from the beginning, but hopefully he can be with us."
Guardiola acknowledged the midfielder's eagerness to get back on the pitch, adding: "And 18 more players too. Everybody is desperate to play. He has been out a few times, and we all know how important he is for us."
