The Bankers made history by punching their ticket to the final after silencing a stubborn Ulinzi Warriors 3-1 in the best-of-five semifinal series at the Nyayo National Stadium.

During last season’s semifinal, the Bankers were eliminated by the Warriors but tables turned this time around.

“We have to go back to the drawing board and address what does not work for us since we are facing a tough opponent in the final. We hope to do better,” Oketch said.

Odhiambo added that the win is definitely a morale booster for the team and they are now confident of posting great results going forward.

They now face five-time champions in the best-of-five final series that begins in Nairobi on Saturday, May 27 with the first two matches before heading to Mombasa for the remaining matches.

“This is good for the boys since this is the first time we have made it to the final. This motivates them to work harder and probably outshine KPA,” he added.
