Elaine Thompson-Herah: World's fastest woman alive draws motivation from track legend Allyson Felix
Getting motivation from legends in a sport is common for most athletes, and this time the world's fastest woman alive Elaine Thompson-Herah is getting hers from track legend Allyson Felix.
Felix, regarded as one of the greatest athletes in history, shared a motivational post on her Instagram page and Thompson-Herah agreed with it by reposting.
"Focus on what you can control🔑 Monday energy💪🏾," captioned Felix, using a pictorial representation of the motivational quote she wrote herself.
Thompson-Herah agreed to this with two fist bump emojis and shared it on her story, affirming she was motivated by the post.
Despite Felix being retired, she's still one of the most famous and influential track and field stars, having won several medals during her active years, and is arguably the most decorated athlete in history.
With the Paris Olympic Games set to take place this summer, Thompson-Herah needs all the motivation possible, as she will be gunning for a moment in history by defending her Olympic sprint titles for the third consecutive time and becoming the first female athlete in history to achieve such a feat.
