Ekong has reason to celebrate, according to his latest social media post.
Ekong celebrates son's 5th birthday
On Monday, July 24, 2023, Ekong took to his official social media platforms to celebrate his son, who turned five.

Along with the photos was a message that said, “5 years ago today you changed our lives forever. You fulfilled my dreams to be a dad.
“We all LOVE YOU more than you can imagine and we’re all very proud of you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY my big boy.”
Ekong and Super Eagles
Ekong welcomed his son after the Super Eagles of Nigeria were knocked out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia at the group stage.

During the last international break, Ekong flew in style to camp with some teammates.
Ekong did not feature as the Super Eagles of Nigeria recorded a 3-2 victory away against Sierra Leone to book a spot at the 2023 FIFA Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) next year in Ivory Coast.
He recently completed a move from Watford to the Greek professional football club PAOK Thessaloniki after a loan spell at US Salernitana.
