D'Tigers: Nigeria gets mixed results against Guinea in AfroBasket friendly games
Nigeria's senior men's national basketball team known as D'Tigers experienced a tale of two outcomes in their recent friendly matches against Guinea.
The game were held at the Mo Arena in Abuja, Nigeria, as part of their preparation for the FIBA AfroBasket 2025 tournament.
The tournament is scheduled to take place in Luanda, Angola from August 12 to 24.

These games, which took place on Thursday, August 7, and Friday, August 8, respectively.
In the first friendly on Thursday, August 7, the D'Tigers secured a victory with a score of 78-73.
The team that features new Houston Rockets star Josh Okogie were able to get a win to boost the crowd.

However, the second friendly on Friday, August 8, presented a different challenge, as the D'Tigers fell to Guinea 68-65.
Despite the loss, the game reflected the high level of preparation for both teams.
The team received a visit from Shehu Dikko, the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, who motivated the players.
Following their victory in the FIBA Women's AfroBasket, President Bola Tinubu recognized the women's team, D'Tigress, with a gift of $100,000, a plot of land, and the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) title.
The men's team aim to win their first Afrobasket title since 2015.
