Details of Bruno Fernandes’ imminent new Man Utd contract disclosed

Bruno Fernandes is seemingly set to sign a new Manchester United contract before the close of the summer transfer window. 

Fernandes joined the Manchester outfit in January 2020 from Sporting Lisbon and is heading into a fifth full season at Old Trafford. 

The 29-year-old has made 159 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 54 times since his arrival midway through the 2019-20 season. 

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 2024 FA Cup winners are about to extend Fernandes’ Manchester stay until 2027, with an option for an additional year.

Fernandes' commitment to the club comes amid speculation linking him with a move to Saudi Arabia and other top European clubs, and the new deal will see the 29-year-old join the club's top earners, reflecting his importance to the team. 

The transfer expert claims the official announcement is expected to be made before the end of the summer transfer window.

Fernandes and his United teammates are gearing up for their Premier League opener against Fulham at Old Trafford on August 16.
