Demarai Gray releases shocking statement after club rejected bids for him
This summer, there have been rumours that the forward will leave the Toffees but a deal failed to materialise.
According to reports, the former Leicester player was being pursued by both Fulham and Crystal Palace including Saudi Arabian side Al-Shabab.
He has now released a statement stating how disappointed he is not to get a transfer away from the club.
Gray’s Instagram post
Gray's Instagram story post has fueled speculation of a Merseyside departure as reported by the Sun.
He shared a picture of someone walking towards a car, with a caption saying, "Everton fans have always been great with me but it's so difficult to play for someone who doesn't show you respect as a person."
Gray made his remarks after Sean Dyche gave an explanation for why he wasn't selected for Saturday's 2-2 draw with Sheffield United.
The Everton boss said as reported by the Sun, "It's a bit of everything. His fitness, his fitness to play in the side, the situation around him and all the noise.
"But hopefully over the next couple of weeks that will become clearer, he'll get himself fit and it's a start point."
When questioned if Gray would likely stay at the club after the Saudi window closed, Dyche added: "I do at this time."
Despite the Toffees' poor start to the season with one point from their first four games, Gray has yet to feature for Everton this season.
