David Alaba and Ademola Lookman link up in Lagos

Two of football's most celebrated figures, David Alaba and Ademola Lookman have been spotted in Lagos, Nigeria.

The meeting, captured in a series of engaging frames, showcased not only their professional camaraderie but also their shared roots and the cultural ties that bind them to Nigeria.

Lookman, who was not part of the Super Eagles squad for the Unity Cup, found himself in Nigeria for personal and celebratory reasons.

His recent accolade as the 2024 African Footballer of the Year, following a historic hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final for Atalanta, brought him back to his homeland.

During his visit, Lookman took the opportunity to celebrate this achievement by presenting his CAF award to President Bola Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Alaba, on the other hand, was in Nigeria on a personal visit, exploring his heritage as an Austrian footballer of Nigerian descent.

These stops highlighted his ongoing connection to Nigeria, despite representing Austria internationally.
