Lookman and Alaba in Nigeria
Lookman, who was not part of the Super Eagles squad for the Unity Cup, found himself in Nigeria for personal and celebratory reasons.
His recent accolade as the 2024 African Footballer of the Year, following a historic hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final for Atalanta, brought him back to his homeland.
During his visit, Lookman took the opportunity to celebrate this achievement by presenting his CAF award to President Bola Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Alaba, on the other hand, was in Nigeria on a personal visit, exploring his heritage as an Austrian footballer of Nigerian descent.
The Real Madrid star's trip included visits to significant cultural landmarks, such as the New Afrika Shrine and the Elegushi International Market.
These stops highlighted his ongoing connection to Nigeria, despite representing Austria internationally.
Alaba and Lookman embraced as they were recorded before going their separate ways.
