Adebayo was excited and reacted moments after the Hatters made history against Coventry in the Championship playoff on Saturday at Wembley.

Luton became the latest team to make it to the Premier League for the first time in 31 years following a dramatic 6-5 win over Coventry on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in regulation time.

The giant striker who stands at 6ft 4in was in superb form against the Sky Blues at Wembley, playing a key role in their historic evening.

Adebayo was at his creative best as he created the most chances, including the opening goal of the tie scored by Jordan Clark.

He also added two key passes but was helpless as Gustavo Hamer cancelled out their lead in the second half with an equaliser to force the game to extra time.

Adebayo was subbed off in the 106th minute, with his teammates keeping their calm to seal a Premier League ticket in the eventual shootout.

After the game, he described the feat as a special one the fans will never forget.

“This group is special,” Adebayo said after the game according to Talk Sport.

“Commiserations to Coventry, they gave us a hell of a battle and pushed us all the way.

“But we have been practicing penalties all week, but this group is special,” he added.
