Chelsea legend Didier Drogba voted Africa’s greatest player in Premier League history
Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has emerged as the greatest African to ever play in the Premier League, Pulse Sports Nigeria can confirm.
Drogba was revealed as Africa’s greatest export to the Premier League in lavish ceremony put together by SuperSport in Nigeria.
The event which was to celebrate the 30th anniversary of league was held at the Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria on Thursday night.

In what was the unveiling of the best eleven players from Africa to have ever played in the Premier League, the Chelsea legend was voted ahead of his peers.
Drogba saw off competition from his compatriot and Manchester City icon, Yaya Toure, to finish as the number one pick.
The 45-year-old made his mark during his first spell at Stamford Bridge having joined the club in the summer of 2004 from Marseille.
He spent eight successful years with the Blues, making a name as a big game player for the club.
Drogba’s goals helped Chelsea win 10 of his 12 titles with the club before he returned for a second spell under Jose Mourinho, who was the manager that brought him to the Premier League.
In his first spell at Stamford Brigde, Drogba scored 157 goals in 341 appearances, winning three Premier League titles, four FA cups and two Carling Cups in England.
Drogba was also named as Chelsea’s player of the year, players’ player of the year and won the Premier League golden boot twice.
In his second spell at the club, the Ivorian added two more titles, Premier League and League Cup to his club collections at the Bridge.
Super Eagles legend Victor Ikpeba, former Bafana Bafana and Leeds United captain, Lucas Radebe, celebrities, and other football enthusiasts attended the elaborate ceremony.
