Bryan Levell was one of the breakout athletes at the just-concluded global showpiece, winning a bronze medal in the men’s 200m final.

The Jamaican 200m star made his intentions clear after winning his heat in 19.84 seconds before shocking Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo in the semifinal to win in 19.78 seconds.

Speaking after finishing second behind the Jamaican in the men’s 200m semifinal, Letsile Tebogo pointed out that he had greatly improved in running the curve.

However, he was quick to observe that Bryan Levell is a top talent, noting that he posted a great time and stunningly showcased his potential.

“Man, I feel so great. It was a great curve for me. I don't know how the coach is going to feel about it, but I felt like I ran it better than yesterday, and then tomorrow, just to combine the two and then just make a perfect race,” Letsile Tebogo said in a video shared by Citius Mag on YouTube.

“He’s a good competitor. I don't know how he's going to handle the rounds. He's been running a very good time on the heat even today. That's a great time, and we'll see how it goes tomorrow.”

Four-time world 200m champion Noah Lyles also recognised Bryan Levell, adding that he has already established himself as a great 200m runner.

Noah Lyles noted that Bryan Levell clearly showed that he wanted to win a medal in the men’s 200m, following his impressive display in the heats and semifinal.

The reigning Olympic 100m champion further stated that he had not seen Bryan Levell and only noticed him at the World Athletics Championships.

“Yeah, I think he's proven himself already. I mean, of course, I think he wants to end the season with a medal like all of us do, but I mean, he's a great talent. I don't know how long he's been around, but he's doing his thing right now,” Noah Lyles added.

In the men’s 200m final, Noah Lyles equalled Usain Bolt’s record, becoming the second man to win four successive world titles in the 200m.

The American clocked 19.52 seconds ahead of Kenny Bednarek, who finished second in a time of 19.58 seconds, with Bryan Levell sealing the podium.
