The Super Falcons of Nigeria recorded a 1-0 win against Botswana in their second group game of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

The Super Falcons came into the game with a convincing 3-0 win against the Les Aigles of Tunisia in their group opener.
As for Botswana they suffered a 1-0 loss to the Les Verts of Algeria to start the tournament.

Algeria put pressure on the Super Falcons after a 0-0 draw against Tunisia in their second group game.

Head Coach Justin Madugu named an unchanged line up from their previous game.

The Super Falcons were frustrated in the first half with Rinsola Babajide and Asisat Oshoala unable to find the back of the net.
In the second half, the changes were made bringing in Christy Ucheibe, Chinwendu Ihezuo and Esther Okoronkwo.

In the 55th minute, Deborah Abidoun picked up a yellow card and will miss their next group game.

The breakthrough would come late in the game as Ihezuo found the back of the net in the 89th minute.
The Super Falcons would hold on to secure three points and book their place in the quarterfinals.
The team can seal top spot in the group when they take on Algeria on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
