Bayern Munich pushing to sign £35m Chelsea star ahead of Amorim's Manchester Utd
Bayern Munich are set to renew their pursuit of Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku, who is also a target for Manchester United.
Signed for £52million from RB Leipzig, the 27-year-old Frenchman has struggled for regular playing time at Stamford Bridge, scoring just three Premier League goals last season.
With Liam Delap and Joao Pedro’s arrivals, Nkunku’s role may diminish further. Chelsea, keen to sell permanently, have lowered their asking price to £35m, per The Athletic.
Bayern are seeking attacking reinforcements after losing Mathys Tel, Leroy Sane, and Thomas Muller, and previously failed to meet Chelsea’s valuation in January.
Their bids for Florian Wirtz, Nico Williams, and Luis Diaz also fell through, increasing their need to act fast.
Meanwhile, United, having signed Matheus Cunha and nearing a deal for Bryan Mbeumo, may pursue Nkunku, especially if Rasmus Hojlund departs. A potential swap deal involving Alejandro Garnacho could be considered.
