Battle of World Record holders: Mondo Duplantis beats Karsten Warholm in 100m battle at Zurich Diamond League
In the highly anticipated face-off between World Record holders Armand Mondo Duplantis and Karsten Warholm, the legendary athletes gave a spectacle in their 100m battle at the Zurich Diamond League.
The Swedish pole vault WR holder got a brilliant start and held his own to the finish line, clocking a blistering new Personal Best (PB) of 10.37s to Warholm's 10.47s, also a PB.

Duplantis performance is highly impressive for an athlete whose last track race was in 2018 when he set his then-PB of 10.57s. And defeating the Norwegian 400mH WR holder known to do lots of speed work in training and on the competitive stage, speaks volumes of Duplantis' exceptional talent as an all-round athlete.
Their inspiring face-off was watched by top athletes such as Sha'Carri Richardson, Letsile Tebogo, Renaud Lavillenie, Fred Kerley, etc at the stadium and thousands of track fans globally are requesting more of this ceremonial battles to spice up the sport.
