Arsenal returned to winning ways after four consecutive winless games, beating their London rivals Chelsea 3-1.
The Gunners hosted Frank Lampard's side at the Emirates Stadium as they looked to reclaim the top spot—albeit temporarily. The Gunners were at their sparkling best, as three first-half goals saw them beat their struggling rivals.
How it happened
The hosts wasted no time establishing their dominance, taking a relatively early lead when Granit Xhaka's low cross found Martin Odegaard at the edge of the box in the 18th minute of the game. The Norwegian finished brilliantly, finding the top left corner with a one-touch finish.

The second goal was of similar ilk as the first, with the same goalscorer and assister. The Swiss crossed into the box from the left flank once more, and the Arsenal captain side-footed it past Kepa to double the red team's lead in the 31st minute of the game.
Gabriel Jesus made it three only three minutes later, turning in a goalmouth scramble and continuing his scoring form since returning from injury.

Noni Madueke pulled one back for Chelsea in the 65th minute, but the goal did nothing to prevent Chelsea from suffering their sixth consecutive defeat.

A great first touch but how good is that assist from Kovacic!
