Anthony Nwakaeme returns to Europe: One-cap Super Eagles winger opts out of Saudi riches
In a move that has thrilled the Trabzonspor faithful, overlooked Super Eagles forward Anthony Nwakaeme has rejoined the Turkish Super Lig club after a two-year absence.
Trabzonspor officially confirmed the signing, revealing that the 35-year-old striker has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the club.
"We signed a 2-year contract with our new transfer Anthony Nwakaeme," the club announced on social media.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Trabzonspor's Vice President Nevzat Kaya expressed the club's delight in welcoming Nwakaeme back to the fold.
"Anthony Nwakaeme, our new signing, has officially signed a 2-year contract at the Mehmet Ali Yılmaz Training Facility. Today is a day for fans to rejoice," Kaya said.
Kaya also thanked President Ertuğrul Doğan, Coach Abdullah Avcı, and other club officials involved in securing Nwakaeme's return, describing the player as a valuable asset to the team.
Nwakaeme, who wore the number 9 jersey during his previous stint with Trabzonspor, shared his excitement at coming back to the club where he felt the unwavering love and support of the fans, even during his time away.
Last season, the Nigerian forward scored four goals and provided five assists while playing for Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Fayha.
