Former Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick has called out one of the most influential music artists in Africa - Davido.

The  52-year-old former president and socialite recently took to the stage at his ‘Warri Again’ show to call out the ‘Unavailable’ crooner for failing to perform at his event.

In a viral clip that has surfaced online, Pinnick is seen on the stage at the event, while holding a microphone and calling out the multi-award-winning Nigerian singer, for allegedly refusing to perform at the event which held in Warri, Delta State, despite paying him an excess of N105 million ($94,600) and also booking a private jet to fly him in.

‘We paid him[Davido] $94,600 on the 6th of April, we paid a plane (private) $18,000, get a plane in the airport. But somehow, he say he be big boy, we go tell am say we big pass am,’ Pinnik was quoted to have said in the clip shared by NotJustOk.

Pinnik who served as  president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) from 2014 to 2022 further revealed that the organizers eventually had to recruit the services of emerging Benin-based music star Shallipopi.

The former Chairman of the Delta Sports Commission also took a subtle shade at Davido while speaking at the event.

Amid the unending debate on the biggest music star in Nigeria, Pinnick weighed in by suggesting Grammy-Award-winning singer Burna Boy is ‘the biggest musician in Nigeria’.

‘You see when people say them big, I just dey laugh. The biggest artiste in Nigeria today, no be Burna Boy?....he big pass am[Davido],’ Pinnick said.

Amaju Pinnick was elected NFF president in September 2014 and reelected on 20 September 2018.

 He was also First Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) from September 2018 to July 2019.

Pinnick’s reign as NFF president was filled with series of controversies from FIFA Grant scandal to fraud scandals.

However, the 52-year-old was never charged amid the numerous allegations.
