Alex Iwobi wins battle of Super Eagles stars as Fulham put Ola Aina’s Nottingham Forest to the sword
Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi was the star of the show as London-side Fulham put up their best display of the season so far, hitting five at home against Nottingham Forest.
It was the first time since 1966 that Fulham would score three or more goals in three back-to-back Premier League games.
The game had three Super Eagles players on display - Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey for Fulham, while Ola Aina was in the red and white of Nottingham Forest. Taiwo Awoniyi was absent as he is ruled out due to injury.

It took just 30 minutes for ex-Arsenal man Alex Iwobi to find the back of the net, beating the offside trap to tuck in a cross from former Chelsea man Willian.
Mexican striker Raul Jimenez made it two a few minutes later and that was how things remained going into the break. ,
In the second half, Jimenez outmuscled Super Eagles defender Ola Aina before rounding Vlachodimos, who was in goal for Nottingham Forest.
Super Eagles playmaker Alex Iwobi would later grab his second of the night, Fulham’s fourth, after a cross by Harry Wilson found him in the opposition box in the 73rd minute.
Six minutes to the end of the regulation 90, Tom Cairney added a fifth, to pile more misery on Nottingham Forest and their embattle coach Steve Cooper.
Alex Iwobi has now scored three goals in the league for Fulham after opening his account in the Londoners' 3-2 victory over Wolves in November.
The win takes Alex Iwobi and his Fulham team to 12th, while Nottingham Forest who are missing Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi due to injury, drop to 16th.
