Following a dramatic semi-final round, the two teams that will battle for the continental crown have been decided.

Tournament hosts Morocco, who kicked off the competition against Comoros on December 21, 2025, have successfully navigated their way to the final match. Morocco beat Nigeria 4-2 on post-match penalties on Wednesday after a goalless draw in regulation and extra-time.

The Atlas Lions, spearheaded by Brahim Díaz, will now face 2021 champions Senegal for the title.

Morocco will be vying for their second AFCON title, having won their only championship back in 1976. This appearance marks the end of a long wait for the Atlas Lions, who last reached the final in 2004, where they were defeated by Tunisia.

Meanwhile, Senegal aims to reclaim their title and win their second continental trophy. Their historic first victory came in the 2021 edition, where they triumphed over Egypt. Before that, the Lions of Teranga had finished as runners-up in both 2002 and 2019.
