Ackera Nugent makes it back-to-back Grand Slam title wins as McLaughlin-Levrone takes home $50,000
Hurdling queen Ackera Nugent won her second Grand Slam title in Philadelphia after dominating the women's Short Sprints Hurdles category ahead of Olympic champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone.
The Jamaican 100mH national record holder blazed to the 100m win on Day 2 in Philadelphia, clocking an impressive time of 11.12s, ahead of McLaughlin-Levrone who locked a personal best of 11.21s, while Ditaji Kambundji was third in 11.41s.

With her victory, Nugent secured her second consecutive Grand Slam Track title and prize money of $100,000, following her 100mH success on Day 1, where she clocked 12.44s.
Meanwhile, McLaughlin-Levrone despite stepping down to the short sprint hurdles finished second overall in the standings and secured the prize of $50,000, showing her versatility across a wide range of sprint events.
Nugent, who now stands as the Grand Slam Track queen of the women's Short Sprints Hurdles category will be gunning to seal it off in the final leg of the Slam city in Los Angeles.
