Kenya Police FC defender Abud Omar has revealed the major reason his club needs his services on and off the pitch.
Abud Omar joined Kenya Police FC in 2023, after spending five years in Europe with stints in Greece, Belgium, and Romania.
He has since been instrumental in the national team, Harambee Stars, as well as Kenya Police FC, who dethroned Gor Mahia to win the Football Kenya Federation Premier League title.

However, his talent on the pitch is not the only asset Abud Omar brought with him to Kenya Police since he also brings the vibes to the dressing room.
Abud Omar: Kenya Police FC Need Me On and Off the Pitch
Abud Omar explained that the club knows his importance because in his presence, there is never a dull moment.
“I think they know because without me, the dressing room is dead. They need me on the pitch and outside the pitch,” Abud Omar told Sports Eye.
Abud Omar Reveals Next Target for Kenya Police FC
Abud Omar also went ahead to dedicate the trophy and medal to his son and daughter, admitting that winning the league was their ultimate goal locally.
Now, Kenya Police FC has shifted focus to the CAF Champions League, where they intend to make a mark. Abud Omar urged fans to show the team support in their continental campaign.
Abud Omar added that next season, their main focus will be on defending their title and requested fans to rally behind them throughout that period.
“I’m happy…I think we have achieved the most important trophy in the country. We are really happy, and we are going to take a little time off and then prepare ourselves because we are going to play in the African Champions League. I’m dedicating my trophy to my son and daughter,” Abud Omar added.
“I want to urge the fans to show up next season as we look to do our best in the league and also make a mark in the continental games.”
Kenya Police FC oozed class in their KPL campaign, winning 18 of their 34 matches. They managed to secure draws in 11 matches and only lost five. They ended their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Gor Mahia at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.
