Lwanga, who has previously played for Express FC and SC Villa, was involved in games involving the two.

The two clubs form arguably the fiercest and greatest rivalry in Uganda's football history.

Meanwhile, as a Simba SC player in Tanzania, Lwanga played against their eternal nemesis Young Africans SC and scored in one of the encounters.

At APR, Lwanga has established himself as a stronghold at the club and captained them to a 1-0 victory over Etoile de L'Est on Monday.

APR hasn't lost a league game since April 2023, but their maiden domestic defeat was against Rayon Sports (3-0) in the Super Cup.

After 23 games this season, APR lead proceedings with 55 points, 10 ahead of runners-up and foes Rayon Sports.
