3 Serie A giants fight for Arsenal target Noah Okafor
Swiss-born Nigerian forward Noah Okafor is a hot property in the transfer market at the moment in the Italian Serie A.
Okafor has emerged as a transfer target for three giants of the game in the Italian league.
Pulse Sports Nigeria can report this following a post from the reliable transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
Okafor attracts interest from Serie A
According to Romano, the talented forward has become the subject of a transfer tussle between Serie A trio Juventus, AC Milan and Lazio.
In the report, the Italian journalist noted the clubs have been exploring the Okafor deal.
“Understand AC Milan, Juventus and Lazio are exploring conditions of the deal for Noah Okafor,” he stated on this official Twitter page.
He also added that dethroned champions Milan have been on Okafor’s trail since he impressed during an encounter against his club RB Salzburg.
“Since Okafor played against AC Milan, Pioli started to push internally for Okafor as one of the options,: he added. “Lazio, keen on new striker. Juventus are also informed.”
Okafor is also on the radar of Premier League contenders last season, Arsenal, who are in the market for a forward to strengthen their attacking options at the Emirates.
Okafor explains heritage
Meanwhile, in a related development, the 22-year-old Swiss international had an exclusive interview with Pulse Sports where he spoke about his heritage.
The Salzburg star was recently blasted by fans in Switzerland after he celebrated his club’s domestic success with a Nigerian flag.
Pulse Sports spoke to the talented attack who cleared the air in defense of his celebration in Austria.
"For me, it's clear that I am half Swiss, half Nigerian," Okafor stated.
"My mum's side is Swiss, my dad's side is Nigerian."
“I play for the Swiss national team because I [was] born in Switzerland. Some people are arguing why I play for Swiss, why I don’t play for Nigeria. In life, there is always something people want to say, or want different.”
