Kenya Sevens co-captain Anthony Omondi has revealed that the side will go for nothing but the main cup trophy in the forthcoming Dubai Invitational Tournament scheduled to take place this weekend as the side steps up preparations for the 2024 Challenger Series.

Shujaa will be taking part in invitational tournaments, as well as the Challenger Series to help them achieve their season objectives of doing as well as they can at the forthcoming Olympics.

Speaking ahead of the side’s departure on Wednesday afternoon, Omondi revealed that the spirits in camp are high and that the forthcoming tournament will play “a very big role” in helping them ahead of the Challenger Series.

“We have been preparing well, I would say that Safari Sevens played a very big role in helping us prepare, as well as this forthcoming tournament in Dubai,” Omondi said.

“The mood in camp is energetic and I believe we are going to dubai to take the trophy home.”
