Nairobi United FC have shared a positive new update on Manzur Okwaro as the Harambee Stars utility man moves closer to finally featuring for the club.

Nairobi United FC have confirmed that Manzur Okwaro has returned to full training after an injury spell that forced him to miss several Kenya Premier League fixtures as well as the club’s CAF Confederation Cup matches.

Manzur Okwaro’s career momentum had been disrupted by a persistent knee injury sustained during the 2024 African Nations Championship.

His progress stalled further after his August 2025 transfer from KCB to Nairobi United due to repeated national team call-ups.

Coach Nicholas Muyoti explained that featuring for Harambee Stars before achieving full fitness caused the injury to flare up again, ruling him out for the opening stages of his debut season.

“He has been earning call-ups to the national team, and the coach has been using him, which is a big risk. He also played the last time he got a call-up, which made the injury recur,” Nicholas Muyoti said previously.

Manzur Okwaro Returns to Full Training

The club has now issued a positive assessment, revealing that the versatile Harambee Stars utility man has fully recovered from a right distal biceps femoris tendon partial tear.

Manzur Okwaro has resumed full training with the squad and is expected to finally make his long-awaited Nairobi United debut in their upcoming league matches.

“Mansur Suleiman Okwaro has resumed full-team training after recovering from an injury that ruled him out for much of the season’s opening phase,” the club posted on their Instagram page.

“The Kenya International’s return adds depth and pace to the squad as he works toward full match fitness and readiness.”

Meanwhile, a product of St. Anthony's Boys Kitale, Manzur Okwaro has played for youth clubs like Solidarity Boys and Compel FC, and professionally for KCB FC and the now-defunct Rainbow FC.

The Harambee Stars youngster joined newly promoted Kenyan Premier League side Nairobi United FC in August 2025 from KCB, ahead of their debut in the CAF Confederation Cup.

With his injury finally behind him, Manzur Okwaro now has the opportunity to reset his season and compete for a regular place in Nairobi United’s lineup.

As the club prepares for crucial league fixtures, his return not only strengthens their defensive options but also offers the talented youngster a fresh chance to reignite his promising career.
