Harambee Stars fans have been implored to observe three strict rules for future CHAN 2024 games at Kasarani Stadium, including where specifically to buy tickets.
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Mohammed has urged Harambee Stars supporters to embrace discipline and unity ahead of Sunday’s CHAN 2024 group stage decider against Zambia, warning that “unacceptable” scenes from previous matches must not be repeated.
Kenya is already feeling the sting of sanctions from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which slapped FKF with a Ksh 12.8 million fine and slashed Kasarani Stadium’s tickets from 48,000 to 27,000 following crowd trouble during games against DR Congo, Angola, and Morocco.

‘Let’s Not Undo Our Gains’
In a firm but heartfelt appeal during a press briefing to the media on Tuesday, Mohammed outlined three rules he said every fan must follow.
“First, only buy tickets from authorised online vendors,” he said. “Digital e-tickets are the only valid entry — printed copies will not be accepted. We have seen worrying cases of forgeries.
“If tickets sell out, enjoy the game from home or your favourite social spot. Please don’t come to the stadium without a valid ticket.”

“Third, follow all security guidelines and listen to stewards and security personnel. This ensures smooth movement in and out of the stadium and keeps everyone safe.”
Mohammed stressed that repeated breaches could bring even harsher sanctions — potentially costing Kenya future hosting rights.
“The future of our football depends on our collective responsibility. We have worked hard to rebuild the game, and we must not undo those gains.”

With the Harambee Stars chasing a quarter-final spot on Sunday, the message from all quarters is clear: cheer with pride, respect the rules, and let CHAN 2024 be remembered for the action on the pitch — not the chaos off it.
