Zambian Super League side has signed loan deal with Kenyan forward to boost their position in the league.

Kenyan international striker Vincent Oburu has officially signed with Zambia Super League side Napsa Stars.

The 25-year-old forward has joined the club on a six-month loan from Zesco United following an unsuccessful attempt to secure a spot in South African side Amazulu.

Oburu will now share the field with fellow Kenyan David 'Calabar'Owino bringing a renewed sense of hope and dynamism to the team.

His move to Napsa Stars follows a less fruitful period at Zesco United, where he found limited opportunities to showcase his talents.

Oburu, who previously made waves with Zesco United, where he initially arrived on a six-month loan deal that eventually led to a permanent three-year contract in June 2022, is now set to bring his talents to Napsa Stars.

Prior to his tenure at Zesco United, Oburu developed his skills and gained valuable experience playing for Kenyan clubs Wazito and AFC Leopards.

Apart from his club achievements, Oburu has also made his mark on the international stage.

He was a key member of the Harambee Stars, the Kenyan national team, and played a crucial role in their victory at the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.

Currently, Napsa Stars are positioned 15th in the 18-team Zambia Super League, having accumulated 22 points from 20 matches this season.

The team's next challenge is a league match against Kabwe Warriors, with the venue and date yet to be announced by the Football Association of Zambia.
