The 2023 national Talanta Hela dream teams are scheduled to play in the next year's Nastic Soccer Academy invitational tournament in Tarragona Spain.

The 2023 Talanta Hela dream teams are gearing up for an exciting journey to Spain as they prepare to participate in the prestigious Nastic Soccer Academy invitational tournament in Tarragona.

This tournament, slated for next year, will witness the talents of U17 and U20 teams, both for boys and girls, meticulously selected from the recently concluded Talanta Hela U19 tournament.

A total of 80 gifted players have been chosen following an intensive one-week special training camp held in Nairobi.

Among these rising stars are 20 boys aged below 20 and U17 boys, ready to embark on a life-changing adventure that could kick-start their professional football careers.

Notably, the girls' team has garnered equal attention, having been scouted by a distinguished panel of Kenyan football legends including Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano, former Harambee Stars captain Musa Otieno, Allan Wanga, and Francis Chinjili.

The Nastic Soccer Academy, renowned for nurturing promising talents, currently boasts the presence of fledgling Kenyans such as Aldrine Kibet, Amos Wanjala, and Alvine Kasavuli, further solidifying its reputation as a hub for developing young football stars.

Doreen Odhiambo, CEO of the Kenya Academy of Sports, expressed her immense delight regarding this program, which was tailored by Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba to elevate the standard of football in the country.

"We have witnessed massive talents, some of whom are ripe for top-tier football," she noted.

"The final list of scouted players in the Dream Teams will travel to Spain next year in March for three weeks, taking part in the tournament at the Nastic Academy and training as well."

Stanley Okumbi, the head coach who has been guiding the boys' team during the intensive seven-day elite camp at the Kasarani Stadium, shared his optimism about the direction in which Kenyan football is heading.

"Our football is headed in the right direction, and the players should grab this rare opportunity to the maximum. They should work harder for the betterment of football futures," he told reporters.

"I am glad to be part of this historic moment in our country, special gratitude to the Sports Minister Ababu Namwamba, who has ensured the hatching and actualization of this noble idea. We believe that these players will mature and be helpful for our national teams."
