Viktor Gyokeres’ agent is reportedly upset with Manchester United and Ruben Amorim as the forward closes in on joining Arsenal.
Manchester United’s aggressive summer overhaul continues to take shape, but one striker who will not be part of their attacking revolution is Sweden international Viktor Gyokeres.
Despite his strong ties with United manager Ruben Amorim, the 27-year-old forward will not be moving to Old Trafford, a decision that has stirred up frustration from his camp.

Gyokeres’ Camp Feels ‘Hurt’
)
While United have bolstered their frontline with big-money signings of Bryan Mbeumo for £65 million from Brentford and Matheus Cunha for £62.5 million from Wolves, the long-standing plan to secure a marquee striker will not involve Gyokeres.
According to reports from the Manchester Evening News and Portuguese outlet Record, United have no intention of making a formal offer for the prolific Sporting CP striker, who scored a staggering 66 goals in 68 games under Amorim.
This decision has reportedly not gone down well with Gyokeres’ agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, who feels ‘hurt’ by how United have handled the situation.
Adding fuel to the discontent, Cetinkaya had been instrumental in facilitating Gyokeres' move to Sporting CP in 2023, reportedly encouraged by Amorim himself.
The agent now finds it contradictory and disheartening that the same manager, now in charge at United, has not advocated for his former star’s arrival in Manchester.

Arsenal Move Looms as United Close the Door

While tensions simmer behind the scenes, Gyokeres appears to be edging closer to a transfer to Arsenal.
The Gunners are keen to add firepower to their attack, and with United no longer in the race, Mikel Arteta’s side could seal the deal unopposed.
Meanwhile, United’s focus has turned to offloading surplus players as their attacking rebuild continues.
Despite a successful relationship at Sporting and a need for a top striker, the reunion between Amorim and Gyokeres will not happen at Old Trafford, leaving the Swedish striker’s agent visibly disappointed.
