The former Harambee Stars legend described Arsenal's dominant win over Spurs as tough to watch, but cautioned that it is too early to predict their title chances.
Harambee Stars legend Victor Wanyama has insisted that it is too early to predict that Arsenal will win the 2025/26 English Premier League trophy, as he reflected on Tottenham Hotspur’s loss at the Emirates.
Arsenal delivered a massive statement by thrashing their bitter rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, 4-1. The day belonged to midfielder Eberechi Eze, who sensationally netted a hat-trick against the club he reportedly rejected.
Leandro Trossard added the opener as the Gunners ran riot, with Richarlison's stunning long-range lob being a mere consolation for the visitors.

Michael Olunga Gets the Nod as Harambee Stars' Best Player
The Harambee Stars captain has been singled out as the standout national team player.
The win was a clear indicator of Arsenal's exceptional current form and title credentials. The result sees the Gunners go six points clear at the top of the Premier League table, capitalising on an earlier loss by second-placed Manchester City.
Victor Wanyama: It Is Too Early to Predict
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder reflected on Arsenal's recent victory over his old club, acknowledging the difficulty in watching the North London rivals take the top spot in the Premier League.
Victor Wanyama admitted that while it is impressive to see Arsenal performing well under Mikel Arteta, he believes it is far too early to declare them outright favourites for the league title.
The former CF Montreal star highlighted the unpredictable nature of the English Premier League, noting that teams often experience fluctuations in form, making early-season assessments unreliable.
He also stressed that, although Arsenal have shown quality, the Champions League features a high level of competition, with many strong teams, meaning it is premature to assume they will progress deep into the tournament.
“It’s hard to watch and hard to believe, but that’s the reality that they are on top there. But I think that it’s too early to predict that it’s their season,” Victor Wanyama said.
“Arteta is a good manager, and most teams are doing well, but it’s too early, especially in the Premier League, teams dip, and so it’s difficult to tell now. In the Champions League, there are a lot of good teams, so I can’t say they will be there.”
