AFC Leopards' coach Tomas Trucha remains positive after a gritty draw against Tusker FC in the FKF Premier League.

AFC Leopards head coach Tomas Trucha expressed his satisfaction with the performance of his players as they battled to a hard-fought draw against Tusker FC in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League(FKFPL) match played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Monday afternoon.

The poorly attaended match ended in a goalless stalemate leaving both sets of fans frustrated as their teams' struggles continued.

The first half saw AFC Leopards dominating, with Tusker FC goalkeeper Brian Bwire making a crucial save after 15 minutes to deny Brain Yakhama's header following a cross from Clifton Miheso.

Despite the lack of goals, Trucha praised the resilience of his squad.

"Two big guns, sorry to say two good coaches, eleven and eleven good players. It was a tight game; we could score, they could score. Yes, we were targeting three points, but I'm impressed with the one point," Trucha said on Azam TV.

The Czech coach emphasized the importance of humility and learning from previous matches.

"Imagine if we had lost; so the one point from the draw is okay. We should be humble. In my opinion, it was bad to lose points against City Stars and Sofapaka. So we should be humble, take it, and prepare for the other games," he added.

AFC Leopards had previously drawn 1-1 with both Sofapaka and Posta Rangers before suffering a 3-2 loss to Nairobi City Stars.

The draw against Tusker FC marked their fourth stalemate in their last five games, keeping them in 14th place on the league table with 11 points. Tusker FC, on the other hand, failed to secure back-to-back wins.

The struggling AFC Leopards have managed to win just one match this season, which occurred on October 29 when they defeated Nzoia Sugar.

With their eyes set on improvement, the team will now shift their focus to their upcoming match against Bidco United scheduled for Saturday, December 10.
