Argentine forward Paulo Dybala continues to write Serie A history in his time at Roma

Roma talisman Paulo Dybala made the headlines again after a stunning performance for the Gialorossi against Empoli in a 7-0 demolition.

Dybala scored twice for Roma as they claimed their first win of the 2023/24 Serie A season in emphatic fashion to end a run of four games without a victory this campaign. 

The Argentine World Cup winner’s quality was evident as he scored the Gialorossi’s first and fourth goals of the game to open his account for the new season. 

With the goals against Empoli, Dybala wrote his name into the Serie A history books, becoming one of only four active players to have scored in 10 consecutive Italian top-flight seasons. 

Dybala making Serie A history at Roma

The Roma superstar joined the likes of Duvan Zapata, Giacomo Bonaventura, and Domenico Berardi as the only players to have scored at least one goal in each of the last 10 Serie A seasons. 

Dybala’s scoring run started during his time at Palermo, extending into his spell at Juventus, and now his time at Roma, and in total, the Argentine has now scored 151 goals in the competition.

Last season, Dybala was Roma’s top scorer in the league with 12 goals in 25 games, while he also provided the most assists for the Gialorossi as well. 

Fans of the club will be hoping that Dybala can maintain that level this season and also remain fit for the majority of the campaign as they look to challenge for Serie A honours this campaign.
