The striker has been an intense subject of transfer speculation as the German giants are interested in him.

Tottenham Hotspur chair Daniel Levy met Bayern Munich chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen on Thursday over Harry Kane's possible transfer.

According to Sky Sports News, there was no meaningful progress despite the club's top officials meeting, and this was not the first time Levy and Bayern have met or spoken over the England captain.

Spurs are keen to have their skipper sign a new deal but again fear that he will leave for a Premier League rival should he run down his current deal. Manchester United have been touted as his next destination, should he choose to remain in England.

Despite the rumours surrounding his future, Kane is expected to return for pre-season training with Tottenham, who will be in Australia during pre-season.

Meanwhile, the new Spurs boss, Ange Postecoglou, has stressed that he would like to build a team that will execute exciting, attacking football and would like Kane to be part of it.

However, should Kane decide to leave in the current window, his possible next club is understood to be Bayern Munich, who are ready to pay £70 million for the Spurs priced asset. Their bid, however, is way below what Spurs want.

Kane has scored 213 goals for the North London club, and he is the second-highest scorer in Premier League history behind Alan Shearer.
