Liverpool fought hard to overpower Leicester at the King Power Stadium in a Sunday evening Premier League game.

The Reds needed a win to move closer to being crowned the champions of the EPL for the 20th time.

However, they had to work their way to a 1-0 victory over Leicester City in a very challenging encounter.

As it happened

Woat Faes returned for Leicester along with Ricardo Pereira and Bobby De Cordova Reid. Defender Pereira also made his first start in over five months following a serious hamstring injury.

Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai returned for Liverpool as they replaced Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota following the win over West Ham.

Liverpool had a difficult first half, with Leicester limiting them from having to create chances for the opening goal.

The Reds had to fight it out in the second half and waited until the 76th minute when Alexander Arnold scored the winning goal for Liverpool.

Despite winning 1-0, Liverpool will have to wait another week to be crowned Premier League champions.
