Notable omissions include young prospects Faveurdi Bongeli, Esdras Makosi, and Sylva Tshitenge — all of whom showed promise but were ultimately left out of the final traveling party.

In contrast, the goalkeeping trio of Jackson Lunanga, Brudel Efonge, and Aimé Bakula has been retained, providing stability at the back for the Leopards.

The defensive line features strong names such as God Beni Ndongala, Jacques Mwimba, and Osée Ndombele — players known for their grit and positional awareness. Helton Kayembe and Magloire Ntambwe add athleticism and versatility, while Jonathan Mokonzi and Papy Kokeleya round out a backline that will be key in Group A clashes.

Midfield duties will be handled by a balanced group, including Mbiyeye Bisumana, Mika Miché, and Jean Benoît Tukumbane.

Linda Mtange and Diakana Marzuk bring creativity, while Aged Basiala offers defensive cover.

The attack is spearheaded by the likes of James Mboma, Lyse Nyembo, and Josué Kazema — all capable of unlocking defenses.

Oscar Kabwit, Ibrahim Matobo, Tony Talasi, and Jepthé Kitambala also add depth into the Leopards squad which makes it well-equipped to pose a serious offensive threat. Horso Mwaku and Molia Lihozasia complete a dynamic and pacey attacking lineup.

Drawn into Group A alongside Morocco, Zambia, Kenya, and Angola, DR Congo faces a tough path.
