Iwobi surpasses Super Eagles legends Jay Jay Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu as first Nigerian to hit 30+ goals and 30+ assists in PL history
Super Eagles playmaker Alex Iwobi achieved the milestone during the five-goal thriller against Premier League leaders Liverpool at Fulham.
Iwobi scored a fine goal and contributed an assist as Fulham defeated Arne Slot's Liverpool 3-2, ending their 26-game unbeaten league run.

After the game, the Super Eagles midfielder celebrated with a number of Instagram posts captioned "I belong to Jesus" with several Fulham players and fans reacting.
Teammate for club and country, Calvin Bassey, commented "Hop out the motor'' in reference to Iwobi's recently released record, while Pereira wrote "Ronaldinho from Nigeria 🇳🇬 ❤️🔥"
Iwobi's achievement goes beyond the praise from his teammates, though. He has reached a remarkable milestone, becoming the first Nigerian player in Premier League history to register at least 30 goals and 30 assists.
He may not quite be at the level of Ronaldinho, the player he's been compared to, but he has certainly become one of the best players in the Premier League and another huge win for Nigeria.
