Newcastle have stolen a march on Manchester United with a bold €80 million bid for the Bundesliga hotshot.

Newcastle has emerged as a potential threat to Manchester United, making an official €80 million bid for RB Leipzig's Slovenian striker, Benjamin Sesko.

Meanwhile, Alexander Isak, determined to leave the club this summer, has returned to the UK and will train individually at the club's facilities.

With Alexander Isak's departure imminent after the Swede announced his desire to leave Newcastle, the Magpies are searching for a replacement.

They have set their sights on Benjamin Sesko, the Slovenian forward previously targeted by Arsenal before they signed Viktor Gyokeres, and who is also still being pursued by Manchester United.

An initial official offer was recently submitted to RB Leipzig. The German club was offered €80 million, with €75 million guaranteed and €5 million in potential performance-based bonuses, according to The Athletic.

Benjamin Sesko is one of the most sought-after young strikers in European football. He has made 87 appearances for RB Leipzig, scoring 39 goals, including 13 in the last Bundesliga season.

Manchester United are also tracking him, but the player has yet to make a decision about his future.

Meanwhile, Alexander Isak has returned to the UK and will train individually at Newcastle's facilities while his teammates are on a pre-season tour in Asia.

Alexander Isak had been training individually at the facilities of his former club, Real Sociedad, in the Basque Country.

The Swedish international wants to leave, with reigning Premier League champions Liverpool the likely destination. The Reds have already made an initial official offer of £110 million (approximately €126 million), but Newcastle rejected it.

The Magpies have tried to persuade Isak to sign a new contract, offering a higher salary and a release clause that would be active in the summer of 2026. However, the striker remains firm in his desire to leave and has not been swayed, even by his teammates.
