Mohammed 'Hamudi' Bajaber has become a free agent after two years with Nairobi City Stars, sparking speculation about his next move.

Mohammed 'Hamudi' Bajaber is now a free agent after his contract with the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side Nairobi City Stars elapsed.

The highly-rated midfielder's departure marks the end of a significant two-year chapter with Simba wa Nairobi where he made notable contributions and developed into a key player.

Reports from the team camp indicate that City Stars are working tirelessly behind the scenes to retain one of their star players at the Kawangware-based club.

The talks have resumed amidst widespread speculations about Bajaber's next move.

Having joined the side at the start of the 2021/2022 season from Star Field Academy, the 21-year-old midfielder quickly became an essential part of the team.

Bajaber's journey with City Stars began with a six-month loan before making a permanent switch to the club.

His first full year was marred by injuries, limiting his impact on the field.

Despite these setbacks, he managed to score one goal and provide an assist during that period.

However, his second year at the club showcased his true potential. Bajaber's performance improved significantly, netting six goals and delivering four assists, solidifying his reputation as a creative force in the midfield.

This season, Bajaber has been a reliable set-piece taker for City Stars, excelling in both penalty and free-kick situations.

His versatility on the pitch, being able to play as both a number 10 and a number 8, coupled with his ability to use either foot has added a new dimension to the team's attack.

Bajaber's talent and potential have not gone unnoticed beyond the local league.

In August 2021, he secured a trial with three-time Danish champions FC Midtjylland.

Additionally, he has been a trialist with Kenya's U20 and U23 junior sides, further highlighting his potential to make an impact on the international stage.

As a free agent, Bajaber is now at a crossroads in his career, with various options potentially available to him.

City Stars are keen on keeping him within their ranks, recognizing his value and the significant role he plays in their squad.

However, the lure of new challenges and opportunities elsewhere might influence his decision.

The next few weeks will be crucial for Bajaber as he weighs his options and decides on the next step in his promising career.

Whether he stays with City Stars or moves on to a new club his future in football looks bright.

The young midfielder's journey is one to watch as he continues to develop and make a name for himself in the world of football.
