Harambee Stars' Alfred Scriven shines in Norwegian First Division, earning a spot in the Team of the Week for Hodd.

Kenya international Alfred Richard Scriven is once again making headlines, this time for earning a prestigious spot in the Norwegian First Division Team of the Week.

His stellar performance has captured the attention of fans, coaches, and football enthusiasts, solidifying his status as one of the game's rising stars in Norway.

The 25-year-old striker, currently plying his trade for Hodd, demonstrated his undeniable talent and knack for goal-scoring by bagging a remarkable brace during a tension-filled 2-2 draw against Jerv.

Despite the high stakes of the match, Jerv seemed to be on the front foot initially, with Bassekou Diabate breaking the deadlock in the 29th minute.

However, with resilience and determination synonymous with great players, Scriven stepped up to the plate, leveling the scores at the brink of halftime.

While Diabate managed to put Jerv ahead once again in the 51st minute, Scriven's impeccable timing and skill saw him equalising for Hodd just nine minutes later, securing the 2-2 result.

Hodd's recent performances give a glimmer of hope to their passionate supporters. The team has impressively remained unbeaten in three of their previous five league outings.

Currently positioned at 15th on the league table with 24 points, they are just two points shy of escaping the relegation zone.

Scriven's contribution has undeniably been a beacon of hope, with his tally for the season standing at seven goals and three assists.

Despite his impressive form Scriven is yet to start a game for the Harambee Stars even though he has consistently been a part of the national squad lineups.

In August, the Kenyan forward made a statement by once again clinching the 'Player of the Week' title after steering Hodd to a convincing 2-0 triumph over Skeid.

The upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, slated to commence in November, are bound to be a fierce contest with teams battling for the coveted nine slots in the final tournament.

Many eyes will be on the Harambee Stars and particularly on Scriven, who many believe could be the game-changer for the Kenyan side.
