The former Gor Mahia defender earned a remarkable achievement for AIK on Saturday.

Harambee Stars defender Erick 'Marcelo' Ouma reached a monumental milestone by marking his 100th appearance for Swedish powerhouse AIK.

The momentous event unfolded during an intense clash against Mjallby, where Ouma played the full 90 minutes as his side emerged victorious, sealing a 1-0 win with Anton Salestros netting the decisive goal.

Ouma's journey with AIK begun in 2020 when he made a significant leap from another Swedish side, IF Vasalund.

Now in his fourth season with AIK, the former Gor Mahia left-back has become an integral part of the team's defensive backbone, contributing to their victories and solidifying his position as a key player.

The Kenya international's remarkable achievement was celebrated on the pitch as fans and teammates alike acknowledged the significance of his 100th appearance.

Ouma commenced his professional journey in 2016 with the Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia, where he made 22 appearances. His standout performances earned him the nickname 'Marcelo' and garnered the attention of football enthusiasts in Kenya.

Having started his career at Kakamega High School, Ouma's talent quickly propelled him to the national stage. After completing school, he signed a six-month contract with Gor Mahia, a deal that was later extended due to his impressive displays in the Kenyan league.

However, at the end of his contract, Ouma ventured beyond Kenyan borders, joining Georgian club Kolkheti Poti in January 2017.

Subsequently, his journey led him to IF Vasalund in 2018 before making a significant move to AIK in 2020. The Kenyan international has solidified his position as a reliable and skillful defender, earning the trust of both his teammates and the coaching staff.
