Hii Imeenda? Pressure Increases As Gor Mahia Extend Winless Streak
Gor Mahia were held by a resilient Murang’a Seal side in a tense FKF Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.
But watching Peter’s unwavering dedication, she soon realised his heart belonged to the game.
“He joined Tura Magic and then started travelling to South Africa. I realised this is what he wanted to do,” she said.
“Parents should not stop their children from playing sports, as not all are good academically.”
That decision — difficult at the time — marked the beginning of an extraordinary journey. Peter’s move from Namibia to South Africa was a leap into the unknown, but one backed by grit, discipline, and family support.
A Dream Declared, A Promise Fulfilled

Peter's older sister, Hilya Shalulile, vividly remembers his early obsession with football. Even in childhood, it was clear that the sport wasn’t just a hobby — it was a calling.
“He knew, without a doubt, that football was his calling. It was all he ate, dreamt and spoke about, day in and day out,” she said.
“I remember one particular moment in the TV room when the Brave Warriors were playing. Peter was still in primary school. He looked at our mum and said, ‘One day, I'll play for the national team. Just wait and see.’”
That promise would eventually come true, and with it came admiration not just for his talent, but for his character. Shalulile’s humility, consistency, and spiritual grounding have become trademarks of his personality — attributes that his family say have carried him through challenges both on and off the pitch.
“His consistency, discipline, hard work, humility, and most importantly, his faith and devotion to Christ have been the pillars of his journey,” added Hilya.
“It is Christ, along with countless prayers from family and friends, who has led him to become the remarkable person he is today.”
