Kenya U17 team names final squad for CECAFA Qualifiers in Ethiopia, aiming for AFCON 2026 qualification success.
Kenya U17 national team head coach William Muluya has named his final 25-man squad set to represent the country at the upcoming U17 AFCON CECAFA Qualifiers, scheduled for November 15 to December 2, 2025, in Ethiopia.
The Junior Stars will feature in Group A alongside Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan, and Rwanda as they battle for one of two qualification slots to the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The announcement follows weeks of intensive regional scouting and training camps across the country, where young talents from schools and academies showcased their potential.

In a recent interview, coach William Muluya said the final team reflects Kenya’s bright football future, bringing together players who combine technical ability with strong work ethic and discipline.
“This team represents the best of our youth development structures,” Muluya said
“We’ve identified players who not only have talent but also the right mentality to compete on the international stage. Our goal is clear — to qualify for the 2026 AFCON and continue building for the future.”
The team is set to depart for Ethiopia on Monday, where they will hold final preparations before kicking off their campaign.
