The former Gor Mahia defender has been a mainstay figure at the heart of Simba’s defence since he signed, but he has had to deal with criticism following errors committed that led to opposition goals.
With Yanga, Simba’s arch-rivals, retaining the league, pressure is on the Kariakoo side, who were very dominant before the previous season.
Before Yanga lifted the title in the previous term, Wekundu wa Msimbazi were Tanzania’s champions for four consecutive seasons.
