Inter Milan are looking to bring Romelu Lukaku to SanSiro on a permanent deal as they plan to discuss with Chelsea after the Champions League Final.

Lukaku has been a key player for Inter this season, helping them win the Coppa Italia and taking them to the final of the UEFA Champions League.

The Belgium International joined Chelsea in 2021 for a fee of  £100 million but failed to make an impact in his first season which led to being loaned back to his former club.

The Belgian is set to return to Stamford Bridge after his loan spell ended at Inter Milan but they are willing to negotiate with Chelsea for a permanent deal.

Lukaku is a Professional says Giuseppe Marotta

Giuseppe Marotta, Inter’s chief executive, has hailed Lukaku for his excellent performance and for being a professional.

In an interview with UK media which was reported by Daily Mail, Giuseppe Marotta said, “Romelu Lukaku is not only a good player but also an excellent professional. As you know he is on a loan deal with Inter.

“That ends on June 30 and he will go back to Chelsea. We don’t know what his future will be. Further down the line, we will talk about it with Chelsea.”

Romelu Lukaku had a difficult start in the first half of the season after sustaining a lengthy injury which limited him to only five appearances.

On his return from injury, he struggled to get into the starting XI but later proved his quality later on in the season, scoring nine goals in his last 16 games.

The likes of Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, N'golo Kante and other players are on the verge of leaving Stamford Bridge.

Mauricio Pochettino who was recently appointed as Chelsea’s new manager is looking to rebuild the squad ahead of next season.

As it stands, Kante has completed his move to Al Ittihad while Kovacic and Mount are on the verge of completing their transfer to Man City and Man United respectively.
