Gor Mahia obliterated Naivas and overcame Vihiga bullets in two behind-the-doors friendly matches.

It was a perfect Saturday for Gor Mahia as they managed to win both their friendly games against National Super League (NSL) outfits Naivas and Vihiga Bullets at the M-Pesa Foundation Academy.

Gor beat Naivas 5-1, before following it up with yet another 5-0 win over Bullets to cap off a good session for the reigning league champions.

Against Naivas, winger Boniface Omondi and striker Chris Ochieng both scored braces, while leading league scorer Benson Omala scored the other goal.

In their second game against Bullets, a Patrick Kaddu goal gave them the lead at the break.

In the second half, Gor added four more goals, with new signings Mark Shaban, Sharif Musa as well as Lloyd Kavuchi getting their share of the goals to give them yet another 5-0 win was enough to separate both teams.

Both results have capped off a fantastic  weekend for Johnathan McKinstry, who used the friendlies to blood in the new signings, while giving fringe players chances to get minutes under his belt.
