The Harambee Stars midfielder has put his failed transfer behind him and is now focused on helping Gor Mahia overcome KCB in the FKF Premier League.

The Gor Mahia delegation was led by chairman Ambrose Rachier and his deputy Sally Bollo with a promise to ensure K’Ogalo return to their rightful place at the top of Kenyan football.

Akonnor won his first game as K’Ogalo coach last weekend, when his team beat Sofapaka 2-0, having started the season with a shock 1-0 defeat to Bidco United.
