The Austrian international has opted to cross to Bayern's bitter Black and Yellow rivals.
Immediate former Manchester United loanee Marcel Sabitzer has been acquired by Borussia Dortmund from arch-rivals Bayern Munich in a deal worth €19m.
Sabitzer underwent his medical tests on Monday and has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with Borussia Dortmund.
The 29-year-old will now head to BVB’s training camp in the United States to link up with his new teammates. He becomes Borussia Dortmund’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Ramy Bensebaini and Felix Nmecha.
The Austrian international was acquired by Erik ten Hag in January to serve as Christian Eriksen’s injured replacement after he sustained an ankle injury that would keep him out for three months.
