Former AFC Leopards coach Luc Eymael has secured a coaching role after unsuccessful attempts to return to the FKF Premier League.

Former AFC Leopards head coach Luc Eymael has finally found his footing in the coaching realm once again this time taking the helm at FC Les Aigles in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This appointment comes after a series of unsuccessful attempts to make a comeback in the FKF Premier League where he eyed positions at both Bandari FC and his former club, AFC Leopards.

Despite his efforts and even dropping his CV to rejoin Leopards last year, the club chose to proceed with Tomas Trucha in October.

Similarly, a potential move to Bandari FC this January fell through when the club opted for John Baraza as their head coach, leaving Eymael on the lookout for new opportunities.

The Belgian technician's quest has led him to FC Les Aigles, where he was warmly welcomed.

"Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Samurai, Luc Eymael is our new head coach. He will be presented to the press by club President Mr. Vidiye Tshimanga," announced the club in a statement that marked the beginning of a new chapter for both Eymael and FC Les Aigles.

This role is not Eymael's first in the DR Congo, having previously managed AS Vita Club and led them to domestic league success.

His return to the Congolese league comes with the expectation of elevating FC Les Aigles to higher standings and possibly replicating his past achievements.

Reflecting on his time in Kenya with AFC Leopards in 2013, Eymael shared: "My stay at AFC was great, I remember vividly how good their fans were to me, but I feel we did not accomplish what we ought to have done, so I still believe I can be the coach to help them win the elusive Premier League title."

Eymael's coaching credentials are impressive, holding a UEFA Pro License, the pinnacle of football coaching qualifications.

He is credited with contributing to the development of several Belgian stars, including the likes of Eden Hazard, Axel Witsel, and Christian Benteke.

His coaching career in Africa has been diverse, with roles in several countries including Rwanda, Tunisia, Oman, Tanzania, Libya South Africa, and Sudan

Eymael's career, characterized by twelve coaching positions over the past decade, reflects his resilience and adaptability.

Despite the setback in securing the Uganda Cranes job, his latest role with FC Les Aigles offers a promising platform to apply his expertise and leadership.
